Liz Charky is an American cinematographer of Syrian, Sicilian, and Tonawanda-Seneca heritage lensing honest and imaginary stories from a place of sensitivity, intuition, and playfulness. She is passionate about character-driven narratives that explore the intersections of humor and heartbreak, love and loneliness, identity and transformation. Her visual storytelling is often informed by her training as a dance artist and choreographer, as well as by her lived experience as a mixed heritage woman.

Her films have screened at festivals including Camerimage (Golden Tadpole award nominee), AFI Fest, BFI, Sitges, Filmquest, SXSW Panel Picker, Dance on Camera Festival at Lincoln Center, among others.
